This half marathon has made it to multiple lists including Runner’s World’s “Best Races to Run with a Jogging Stroller’ and The Daily Burn’s ‘5o Best Half Marathons’. Among many reasons to run this race are its location in the breathtakingly beautiful New Mexico desert, no grueling hills to climb and the 1,000-foot elevation drop which helps when pushing a jogging stroller, free race photos, a finish medal for passengers and the fact that the race supports the nonprofit Global Running Culture benefitting communities where running is a core part of the indigenous culture.
